Neak Kru Virginia Prak

Instructor & Principal Dancer

Neak Kru Virginia Prak

Neak Kru Virginia Prak is a masterful Khmer classical and folk dancer with over 25 years of experience as a performer, educator, and cultural ambassador. Trained by Neak Kru Phousita Huy and other esteemed artists from the Royal University of Fine Arts, she began her journey with Angkor Dance Troupe at age six and has since become a powerful voice for Cambodian arts in the diaspora.

Now based in Honolulu, Hawaii, Neak Kru Virginia continues to teach and perform, fostering pride and cultural connection within Khmer American communities across the U.S. and abroad. A former Miss Cambodian American and Miss Global 2015 First Runner-Up, she uses her platforms to promote the beauty and resilience of Cambodian heritage on global stages, including performances in Cambodia, the Philippines, France, and at the Green Music Center in California.

Beyond performance, she is a passionate teacher who leads workshops and youth intensives, collaborating with organizations from Lowell to Long Beach and Seattle. Through dance, Neak Kru Virginia nurtures identity, discipline, and belonging, helping a new generation of artists carry the legacy forward with pride. To her, Angkor Dance Troupe is not just where she trained - it is where her roots remain, even as she sows seeds of Khmer culture across the world.
