Lokru Peter Chea

Lok Kru Peter Chea is a principal dancer and instructor at Angkor Dance Troupe whose quiet strength, technical finesse, and deep-rooted cultural pride have made him a standout figure on and off stage. Having trained with ADT from a young age, he rose through the ranks with discipline and passion, eventually taking on lead roles in major productions and artistic collaborations across the region.

In 2019, Peter stepped into the lead role of Khemra in one of ADT’s most ambitious performances, showcasing not only his command of Khmer classical dance but also his ability to convey complex narratives through movement. Whether portraying mythical beings or interpreting contemporary stories through traditional form, his presence is both powerful and poetic.

As a mentor, Lok Kru Peter brings quiet patience and intentional guidance to his students, helping them find confidence in their practice and pride in their heritage. His contributions continue to elevate ADT’s artistic work while nurturing a new generation of cultural bearers.
